Every skip you hire, when being taken away for disposal, needs a level load, to help you achieve that, here’s a guide on how to load a skip.
Bulk it up!
Get all the big items together and load them first into the skip. When the big, heavy and mis-shaped items are put in first, it allows for the smaller items to build up around them, instead of forcing the bulky items into a small gap at the end!
Break down the bulk!
Are you putting big items in the skip which have some open spaces? Break them down and make the items compact, for example cardboard boxes.
Maintain a level load!
All the way throughout loading the skip, make sure you maintain a level load. Fill evenly from the bottom up, you don’t want to stack all the waste on one side, come to fill the other side and the stacked waste to fall over.
Leave loose last!
Finally, when all other waste is in the skip, and to complete the ‘How to load a skip’, you need to fill in the gaps, this is done by the left over loose waste.
You should now have a level load skip, ready to be taken away. Just give us a call on 01845 523 131 and we shall pop it on for collection.
